The OPL81x series, from Optek Technology, are a family of photologic sensors. They are in TO-18 hermetically sealed metal can packages. They contain a monolithic integrated circuit which consists of a photodiode, linear amplifier, voltage regulator and a Schmitt trigger on a single chip. Their hermetically sealed package makes the OPL81x series ideal for applications in hostile environments.
