The SDP86xx series, from Honeywell, are a family of optoschmitt detectors. They are in side-looking (SL) through-hole packages. This package minimises the effect of surrounding visible light. These single chip optoschmitt detectors consist of a photodiode, amplifier, voltage regulator, schmitt trigger and NPN transistor.
